I write this post to share with you my 9 favorite nutrients, all tested and fully recommended to include them in your diet.
Nature has provided us with a variety of tasty and nutritional foods. Some of them stand above the rest with powerful abilities to purify the body from harmful toxins and protect us from diseases. These nutritional elites are called superfoods.
Adding superfoods to your normal diet it’s and investment which can transform your health.
As extraordinary beneficial to our health and therefore called superfoods are considered:
1) Algaeas (Chlorella, Spirulina, Wakame)
2) Drinks (Kombucha, Wheatgrass, green tea)
3) Fruits (Berries – blue,cape,goji),citrus, camucamu, coconuts,lucuma)
4) Vegetables (crucferous greens – broccoli, brussels sprouts,chinese cabbage,kale,watercress, green leafy- chicory, leaf lettuce,spinach and sauerkraut)
5) Legumes -beans, lentiles, maca, peanuts, cocoa, inca peanut (sacha inchi), sweet potatoes

Goji berry, blueberries, acai
Blueberries, cranberries, and strawberries all contain powerful phytochemicals that fight against cancer, heart disease, high cholesterol and other serious diseases. Blueberries are known to improve the blood circulation in the genital region.
Compared to other fruit sources, berries contain the highest levels of antioxidants and phytochemicals for fighting disease. This is one superfood that you should eat every day.
Black raspberries also contain edible seeds that are full of omega-3 fatty acids. Moreover, these are a source of anthocyanins, a specialized class of antioxidants which could offer a number of benefits, when consumed frequently. Research data indicates that anthocyanins may well give protection against cancer, swelling, diabetes, infection and a number of age-related diseases. Other sources of anthocyanins include acai berries, eggplant, red grapes and blueberries. The common fruit nutrition facts do not list anthocyanins. And so, you have to do a little research if you want to understand how much your preferred fruits contain.
This superfood contains high quality protein and is rich in soluble fiber. Flax seeds also contain a powerful phytonutrient known as lingan. Use this superfood to lower cholesterol and help prevent heart disease and atherosclerosis.

Green tea boosts the immune system, eliminates harmful toxins from the body, and helps prevent cancer, heart disease, and high cholesterol.
However, the health benefits don’t stop there. Green tea also reduces the risk of atherosclerosis, colon cancer, bacterial and viral infections, cardiovascular disesase, stroke, periodontal disease, osteoporosis, and leukoplakia. Green tea also revs up your metabolism, helping you to burn more calories every hour of the day.
LEAFY GREENS and SPROUTS
You don’t have to look to far for superfoods. Organic leafy greens and sprouts are so beneficial that you can incorporate them into the diet as much as you want.
Green foods includ wheat and barley grasses. Green foods can be bough in powder, tablet or juice form. These nutritional powerhouses contain greater levels of nutrients than green leafy vegetables. They also promote healthy cholesterol, blood pressure and immune response.
Sprouts are cheap, easy to use and super healthy. Broccoli sprouts have 10 times more of the cancer-preventing compound glucoraphanin than regular broccoli.
You don’t have to invent any special meal to add them to your diet. Just simply spread some on top of your sandwich or salad. Delicious, crunchy and easy.
It’s an ancient Incan grain that is a complete protein, high in fiber, and an excellent source of complex carbs.
In opposition to its famous botanical cousin Cannabis sativa, hemp seed does NOT cause any psychotropic reactions. Disapointed? Don’t be, hemp seed has so many significant health benefits, that this is maybe make it the super food you are looking for.
With its great 3:1 balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, hemp seed strongly promote cardiovascular health. Rich in linolenic acid (GLA) has been proven to balance hormones. It mproves digestion and metabolism. It is a rich source of fiber, as well as calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and vitamins especially A, B3, D and E. It has the highest (65%) amount of globulin Edestin protein, responsible for DNA repair from all the plants in the world.
I hope that was convincing enough to encourage sprinkling the shelled nutty flavored seeds (called hearts) on your salads, smoothies, yogurt and muesli. If you prefer there are plenty variation such us hemp seed oil, hemp butter, hemp milk and even hemp flour.
Mexican originated chia seeds became very popular in the superfoods community. Back in old times chia seeds was used as a currency! Now it has it second life as a star in chia puddings , chia smoothies, chia chocolate bars etc. Chia means ‘strength’ in Mayan language, and enabled warries to maintain energy during battels. How is it suitable for a modern worrior?

Recipe: Sexy, Spicy Maca Balls
What you need:
1/4 cup raw almond butter
1 tbsp. maca powder
1 tbsp. raw cacao powder
dash of cayenne powder
splash pure vanilla extract
drop of raw honey
What to do:
Place all ingredients in your food processor. Combine. Form into balls the size of your liking. Store in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or as long as you like. These are treats with minimal mess – best taken to the bedroom for eating and other experiments.
